We are now accepting applications for a joint postdoctoral fellowship opportunity under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Cook, Director of the Health Equity Research Lab, Department of Psychiatry Cambridge Health Alliance, and Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, MA and Dr. Jonathan Alpert, Chair of Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. The Health Equity Research Lab is a research center dedicated to reducing health and health care disparities through developing and rigorously evaluating clinical and policy interventions, engaging community members, and mobilizing system transformation. As part of an ongoing collaboration between the Lab and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore/Albert Einstein, this postdoctoral fellowship provides an opportunity to link research efforts at two urban healthcare centers committed to health equity, capitalizing upon the methodological expertise, rich tradition of applied social medicine, and strong existing community and patient relationships at both sites.
Primarily located at Montefiore/Albert Einstein, the fellow will have affiliations at both institutions, participate in regular Lab meetings and research projects, and receive mentorship from Dr. Cook, Dr. Alpert, and an additional senior researcher at Montefiore/Albert Einstein to be determined based on the fellow’s research interests.
Candidates with expertise and publications in community based participatory research, implementation research, and/or hospital-based electronic health record analysis are encouraged to apply. The position includes benefits and a salary well above the standard NIH stipend for postdoctoral trainees.
